The Obion County Budget Committee has been informed of financial problems for the Obion County Fair.
On Monday, Fair President Craig McManus addressed the board about a large decrease in last years attendance, which has created a financial situation.(AUDIO)
McManus said he feels the lack of revenue is attributed to the excessive heat and heat index values during the week.(AUDIO)
Some Budget Committee members questioned the cost to attend the fair, which McManus said was in the plans for nightly changes.
Following lengthy discussion about the current debt, Budget Chairman Sam Sinclair Jr. issued closing remarks to commission members.(AUDIO)
Board members did not make any decision concerning the fair, and tabled the issue.
