The grand opening of the “Martin Farmer’s Market” is Saturday.
From eight to noon the Farmers Market will feature local youth entrepreneurs with live music by “Karen and the Tantrums” from 9 to 11.
Over 45 vendors will be available; selling locally made and produced products including fresh vegetables, eggs, beef, fresh breads, and soaps.
This season the Farmers Market will offer two produce incentive programs funded under a grant contract with the State.
The Power of Produce Program, for children under 18, and a Market Mile program for adults.
Anyone who participates in these programs will receive a token equivalent to $3 that can be used to purchase produce from participating vendors.
The Martin Farmers Market will continue every Saturday, through October 10th, and on Wednesdays from noon to 4.
