The annual Weakley County Veterans Memorial Day recognition has been cancelled due to weather this Monday.
For many years the program has included recognition of those who have served our country and those who have passed away.
Due to likely rain, Veterans Affairs Service Officer Keith Dunning said event will not be able to host the event.
Dunning, a retired Sgt. First Class said the event that normally would be in front of the Weakley County Court House in Dresden.
He asked that all take a few moments to be thankful for the men and women who have served our country and especially those who have given the ultimate sacrifice. A Weakley County Veterans Monument is located on front lawn of the court house.
