The 2026 high school track and field season has come to a close, and Union City is celebrating another strong showing.
Five Tornado athletes have been named to the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Class 1A All-State Team after earning top-three finishes at the state championships.
Senior Adrian Crawford capped off his career by earning All-State honors for the third consecutive year. Crawford won five state championships this season in the decathlon, high jump, long jump, 110-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, giving him 10 state titles during his career.
Aiden Reid repeated as state champion in the shot put and also placed in the top three in the discus to earn his second straight All-State selection. Kyle Price also earned repeat honors after finishing among the state’s top three in the discus.
On the girls’ side, senior Ca’Lae Ervin was recognized after finishing second in the triple jump, while sophomore Ainsley Beard earned All-State honors with a third-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles.
It’s the sixth straight season Union City has produced multiple All-State athletes under head coach Wade Maddox.
