The newly renovated Capitol Theatre has hired Katie Graves as its first executive director ahead of the theater’s expected opening later this year.
Graves, who previously served as executive director of Main Street Union City, will oversee the theater’s daily operations, fundraising, marketing, event scheduling and budget while working with the Masquerade Theatre Board of Directors.
The Capitol Theatre is expected to open Thanksgiving weekend with a “Christmas at the Capitol” production featuring Masquerade Theatre alumni performing holiday classics.
The theater is also seeking community support through sponsorships and donations as renovations near completion.
