UT Martin has hired an additional men’s assistant head basketball coach who is coming back home to Martin.
UTM head men’s basketball coach Jeremy Shulman has announced the addition of Garrett Sams to the Skyhawk staff.
This is Sams’ second stint with UT Martin basketball as he also served as a graduate assistant under former head coach Ryan Ridder .
Coach Sams was an accomplished four-year performer at North Florida, and played under head coach Matthew Driscoll.
Coach Sams was also a four-year standout at Westview High School, and graduated from North Florida with a degree in sports management in 2020.
