The UT Martin Skyhawks have been picked as the preseason favorite to win the Ohio Valley Conference football championship.
Under the guidance of 21 year head coach Jason Simpson, the Skyhawks have won four of the last five championships.
UT Martin garnered six of eight first place votes, with Southeast Missouri State picked second and Lindenwood chosen third.
SEMO and Lindenwood each received a first place vote.
Gardner-Webb was picked fourth, followed by Charleston Southern, Western Illinois, Eastern Illinois and Tennessee State.
Coach Simpson needs just three Conference victories to move into second place in all-time league history.
