Greenfield residents will soon notice crews working throughout the city as a water meter replacement project gets underway.
The City of Greenfield has been awarded a Community Development Block Grant to replace existing water meters with new radio-read meters.
The improvements are a significant step toward modernizing Greenfield’s water infrastructure. The upgraded meters will allow water usage to be read electronically instead of manually.
Work is scheduled to begin this month.
Officials ask residents to be patient and courteous while crews complete the project.
