National Weather Service Confirms Three Tornadoes in Obion County

The National Weather Service has released their report for the December 10th tornadoes that struck parts of Obion County.
Weather Service reports indicated a long track tornado traveled from Craighead, Arkansas into Obion County, which was rated an EF-4 with peak winds of 170 miles per hour and a width of just over one-mile.
This tornado first struck parts of Lake County, causing significant damage and three fatalities at Reelfoot Lake.
The tornado then caused major damage to a section of Lake Drive in Hornbeak, with homes and recreational vehicles destroyed, and one person killed.
Weather Service reports showed the tornadoes width then shrank as it approached the City of Samburg.
Surveys indicate the Samburg tornado as an EF1, which traveled sixth-tenth of a mile, with winds of 90 miles per hour and a width of 100 yards.
This tornado damaged homes, businesses and city buildings, with several mobile homes blown from their foundation.
The Weather Service then reported an EF-0 tornado struck on Shawtown Road, northeast of Hornbeak, which carried 80 mile per hour winds and a width of 80-yards.
This tornado damaged trees and storage buildings.
A third tornado occurred at 8:43, west northwest of Union City on Highway 22.
This EF-0 rated tornado traveled a quarter of a mile, and had estimated winds of 70 miles per hour and a width of 50-yards.
