The Martin Library Foundation has sold nearly 400 bricks to help raise funds for equipment and technology for the new Martin Public Library.
Foundation Vice President Larry Snider says 375 bricks have been sold, thus far, with the campaign expected to run for two more weeks.
Through the “Pave the Way” campaign, donors can put their name, business name, or name of someone they wish to honor on a brick that will be featured at the main library entrance on Lindell Street.
Foundation President Dr. Nick Dunagan talks about the success of the fundraiser.
Dr. Dunagan says construction on the new library should be complete in the next few months.
There are still bricks available for purchase. You can find more information on the New Martin Public Library Facebook page.
The Library Foundation recently reached its goal of raising $1.5 million dollars towards the $13 million dollar library.
