Ohio Valley Conference Takes Step at Possibility of Expansion

The Ohio Valley Conference has taken a step at the possibility of expansion.

The OVC has retained Collegiate Sports Associates to assist the Board of Presidents, in its efforts to analyze and develop plans for strategic growth.

The hiring coincided with a joint meeting of the Board of Presidents and Council of Directors of Athletics, where the members came together to plan for the future of the league.

Board Chairman, Dr. Philip Oldham, the President of Tennessee Technological University, said the OVC will most certainly continue its rich history of athletic and academic success.

OVC Commissioner Beth DeBauche said Collegiate Sports Associates will be a tremendous partner as the conference looks to promote existing strengths and explore possible membership growth.

The Ohio Valley Conference was founded in 1948, and is the eighth-oldest Division I athletic conference in the nation.
