Union City Middle School Girls Playing for Basketball Championship
The Union City Middle School girls basketball team will play for the 2A championship on Saturday at South Gibson High School.
The Union City girls will play for the championship of the Blue Suede Invitational, after beating University School of Jackson 40-23 in Monday’s semifinal round.
School Communications Director Mike Hutchens said the (16-4) Lady Tornadoes will face Dyersburg for the 2A title on Saturday at 1:15.
The game will be played at South Gibson County High School.
In the semi-final win, Alli McMillan knocked down a trio of 3-pointers and finished with a game-best 15 points, with Sh’Nyla Moss added 14 points.
