 Union City Police Made Aware of Bogus Checks Sent by Mail

Union City police have been made aware of bogus checks being sent to residents in the city.

Lt. Derrick O’Dell told Thunderbolt News reports of the checks being received in Union City began on Tuesday.

Lt. O’Dell urged anyone who should receive this package, to not attempt to cash the check.

Those who do will be charged with theft.

The check shows it is from the First Community Credit Union in Houston, Texas, and is being sent by the United States Postal Service by Priority Mail.

A check posted by Union City police is in the amount of $2,350.

Anyone who receives this in the mail is urged to contact the Union City Police Department.
