Charges against a Union City businessman have been dismissed in Weakley County.
Monday morning in Weakley County Circuit Court, Judge Jeff Parham dismissed all charges against Jerry Ward, owner of Jerry Ward Autoplex in Union City.
Earlier this year, Ward pleaded not guilty to charges of financially exploiting over $110,000 dollars over a six year period from the late Ruby C. Smith of Martin.
The charges against Ward were filed by Miss Smith’s step-son, Gary Smith, of Clinton, Utah, with Ward denying any wrongdoing.
