Greenfield football wins third consecutive game

The Greenfield Yellowjackets claimed their third consecutive win and second straight in region play with a 17-6 victory Friday at Humboldt.

Greenfield broke a scoreless tie with a 24-yard field goal from Kinzer Pratt as time expired before the half. After Humboldt tallied a touchdown midway through the third period, the Jackets pulled back into the lead as Easton Sullivan scored on a 1-yard run late in the quarter. Greenfield added a touchdown in the fourth with a 15-yard run by Trey Maben.

Following the game, Greenfield coach Don Pitt spoke about his team’s offensive performance.

 

Coach Pitt also commended the effort of the Yellowjacket defense in limiting Humboldt to six points.

 

Greenfield, now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in Region 7-1A, visits Gleason for a region game next Friday.
