Brad Hosford, longtime Thunderbolt Radio chief engineer, passes at age 68

Longtime Thunderbolt Radio chief engineer Brad Hosford, of Paris, passed away Thursday afternoon. He was 68.

Brad has been part of the Thunderbolt Radio family since 1985 and was responsible for overseeing the transmitter sites and making sure the stations’ equipment was in compliance with the FCC’s engineering rules and standards.

 

During his 38 years with the company, Brad oversaw several technical projects including upgrades for WCMT-AM/FM; WCDZ; KYTN; and WQAK.

Mr. Tinkle said Brad Hosford was passionate about his work and loved his family.

Brad also did engineering work for radio stations in Paris and Lexington.

He’s survived by his wife, Pam, their three children, and several grandchildren.

Funeral services for Brad Hosford will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 4:00 at Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris.
