The Hillcrest boy’s basketball team saw their season comes to an end Saturday in the West Sectional Tournament.
Soulsville defeated the Cougars 43-39 in opening round play.
Cooper Sanford led Hillcrest with 12 points, all coming from behind the three-point arc.
Hillcrest advanced to the Sectionals after winning the Area 18 championship for the second straight year.
The Cougars finished the season with a record of (13-6).
