Possible Heavy Rain, Snow and Breezy Conditions in Forecast for Ken-Tenn Area

weather-advisory-2

Parts of the Ken-Tenn area could see some heavy wet snow this afternoon and tonight.

The National Weather Service has placed Obion, Lake, Weakley and Henry County, along with all of Western Kentucky, in a Winter Weather Advisory until midnight tonight.

Forecasters say wet snow could accumulate on grassy and elevated surfaces, with the possibility of slushy snow on roadways.

Storm predictions also indicate a shift in the approaching storm front could mean accumulating snowfall for Northwest Tennessee.

Forecasters say a slight shift north or south will make a huge difference in seeing minor impacts from the snow, or no impacts at all.

The Ken-Tenn area will also see falling temperatures this afternoon and breezy conditions, which will create wind chill factors.

Current forecasts indicate north winds up to 30 miles-per-hour today, and northwest winds up to 25 miles per hour tonight.
