Harper Fired as Head Coach of the Tennessee Lady Vols

The University of Tennessee has fired Lady Vols head basketball coach Kellie Harper.

Athletic Director Danny White announced on Monday that Harper would not return following a thorough review of the program.

During her five seasons as the Lady Vols coach, Harper’s teams won 20 or more games four times but never advanced past the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.

Harper played at Tennessee under the late Pat Summitt and was part of three straight National Championships teams from 1996-thru-1998.

As coach with the Lady Vols, Harper’s career record was 108-52.
