City boards including Dresden, Greenfield, Gleason, Sharon and Martin will be working to balance their budgets as they prepare for the new fiscal year beginning July 1st.
Dresden board members are expected to increase their tax rate by 15 cents on the property rate, while the city of Martin is not expected to raise taxes in the upcoming fiscal year. Other city boards are continuing to work to balance their budgets.
Meanwhile the Weakley County Commission will meet at 5pm this afternoon at the Weakley County Board of Education office in Dresden.
Weakley County Commissioner and County Mayor Pro Tem, Dennis Doster, will gavel the meeting to order.
