Obion County Budget Committee members discussed capital projects for the Obion County School System.
Director of Schools Tim Watkins presented the board with a list of issues that are in need of attention.(AUDIO)
Director Watkins also talked about needed roof repairs for additional sites.(AUDIO)
Other discussed needs included the Obion County Central High School parking lot, along with gutter replacement at South Fulton Middle/High School and Lake Road.
Director Watkins said the leaking roof at the Central gymnasium would be funded through the school budget.
Budget members then voted 5-to-1 to repair the entire roof at the Central Board Office for $270,000.
Commissioner Rob Holman voted “no” against the repair.
