Firefighters were called Friday to a significant grass fire at the Skyhawk Solar Farm at Everett-Stewart Regional Airport.
Union City Fire Chief Karl Ullrich said the fire consumed about 40 acres, with very difficult access.
Firefighters from Union City, South Fulton, Rives, Troy and Kenton, along with the Obion County Rescue Squad and the Tennessee Division of Forestry responded.
Fire personnel were on the scene for about four-and-a-half hours, with the cause now under investigation.
