Union City Middle School football coach Austin Atwill stood by his word following the team’s final game against Huntingdon.
School Communications Director Mike Hutchens said coach Atwill agreed to a ”buzz” cut to his hair if the team shut out the Mustangs to go (7-0) on the year.
Union City won the game 36-0.
Coach Atwill fulfilled his promise, as head coach Josh Keown handled the sheering as the players cheered on the cause.
Coach Keown, defensive coordinator Lazarus Scribner, and possibly others on the staff, have agreed to shave their beards before the team banquet after the defensive unit met multiple season goals.
