The Tennessee Highway Patrol has announced plans for a safety belt roadside checkpoint in Obion County.
Troopers will establish the checkpoint on March 14th on U.S. Highway 45-West.
During the checkpoint, Troopers will target those who operate a vehicle without a safety belt, while also taking corrective actions for other violations observed.
Tennessee enacted a mandatory seat belt law for motorists in 1986.
