
A traffic stop on Monday night in Haywood County led to the discovery of over 200 pounds of cocaine.
West Tennessee Drug Task Force agents stopped a commercial vehicle on I-40 for a traffic violation. During the stop, agents deployed a canine after observing abnormalities in the tractor trailer.
The canine alerted to the presence of a narcotic odor and a four hour search was conducted on the vehicle.
Agents discovered two compartments in the trailer containing 90 wrapped kilos of cocaine weighing 200 pounds and worth nearly $9 million.
