Trenton pushed across the tie-breaking run in the sixth to spoil Senior Night for Union City’s Kennedi Robinson, the lone Lady Tornado 12th grader on this year’s roster.
School Communications Director Mike Hutchens said Robinson did shine individually for her team with a pair of singles and both Union City runs scored.
Addison Carr and Mattie Smith had singles for the Twister girls, with Smith and Kylie Mayes credited with RBIs.
Hadley Smith, despite a stellar pitching effort, was saddled with the loss in relief. She gave up just one run and struck out six in 6 1/3 innings.
Union City will host Dresden Wednesday at 5 p.m. in a make-up contest.
