Tennessee 8th District U.S. Congressman David Kustoff has co-sponsored legislation to expand childcare opportunities.
At the House Committee on Ways and Means, Congressman Kustoff, and New York Republican Claudia Tenney, introduced the Child Care for American Families Act.
The bill will expand childcare opportunities for working families by building upon the Employer-Provided Childcare Tax Credit.
Congressman Kustoff said insufficient access to childcare is a problem that affects families and businesses nationwide.
The Shelby County Republican said the legislation would incentivize businesses to construct and operate childcare centers, making it easier for employers to hire and retain employees.
