
Obion County Central Principal Corry Essary has recognized outstanding staff and student achievements.
School Communications Director Lauren Kendall said Kim Crews was honored as the “Outstanding High School Physics Teacher of the Year” at the recent Tennessee Section of the American Association of Physics Teachers Conference held at UT Martin.
Crews was nominated by UTM Engineering Professor Dr. Cahit Erkel, who praised the exceptional students she has sent to the university.

SkillsUSA Medalists – Four students earned top honors at the SkillsUSA competition in Chattanooga:
Bronze: Marisol Acevedo-Martinez – Nail Care
Silver: Jesus Sarmiento-Maldonaldo – Barbering
Gold: Sam Cunningham – Motorcycle Service Technology
Cunningham is the State Champion and will represent Tennessee at Nationals in Atlanta.
