The Iris Festival Baking Contest was held at the McWherter Civic Center this afternoon.
First through third place winners in multiple categories including candy, bread, cheesecake, and more were given awards for their creations.
Some first place winners included Gwendolyn Bounds in candy, Elena Bounds in general desserts, Brittany Cameron in frosted cakes, and Terri Pash who won fist, second, and third in the cheesecake category.
Festival Co-Chair Sara Hubbard said the participation in this year’s baking competition was great with more entries than she could count.
