Two Obion County schools have been named recipients of $10,000 grants.
Ridgemont and Hillcrest were awarded the Learning Environment grants through the TVA EnergyRight School Uplift Program.
The year long energy management training program is used to make smart energy choices that improve the classroom learning environment.
Director of Schools Tim Watkins said the program educates students how to conserve energy in the schools, which can also be used at home.
Director Watkins said the awarded grants are also at no-match to the school system.
