War Memorial Stadium in Union City was the site of the Upper West Tennessee Special Olympics on Friday.
A large crowd of participants and supporters gathered on the field, and in the stands, to watch the many scheduled competitions.
Dr. Clinton Smith was in charge of the competitions, and told Thunderbolt News about the event.(AUDIO)
Participants were awarded medals for their accomplishments.
