Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City CEO Talks About Disaster Drill

A disaster response exercise took place in Union City on Thursday.

The Tennessee Military Department, in conjunction with Tennessee Emergency Management and 30 other partnering agencies, conducted “Vigilant Guard 2025”.

The disaster exercise gave participants the opportunity to activate a response plan to improve mission command, relationships, and interoperability with federal, state and local authorities.

Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City was one of six training locations, with UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters landing at the Doctors Clinic helipad.

Bondurant said he was glad the Union City Hospital was selected as one of the six training sites.(AUDIO)

 

Other sites participating in the disaster drill included Memphis, Nashville, Milan and Paris.
