Tennessee Highway Patrol Announces Sobriety Checkpoint for Obion County

The Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct a Sobriety Roadside Safety Checkpoint in Obion County.

Troopers will conduct the checkpoint on Friday at State Route 214 near the five-mile-marker.

During the checkpoint, Troopers will be checking drivers for signs of operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Officers will also be on the lookout for those not using seatbelts or child restraint seats, along with other violations observed.

In 2024, Tennessee recorded 1,314 total traffic fatalities with 33-percent of those involving alcohol.
