Funeral services will take place on Saturday for former Obion County Schools Superintendent Vincent Thompson Sr.
The 89 year old Thompson passed away Wednesday at his home in Obion.
Following military service in the United States Navy, Thompson’s career path included serving as Warden at the Tennessee State Prison in Nashville and 20 years as the Superintendent of Obion County Schools.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 Saturday afternoon at the Troy Church of Christ.
Burial will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion.
