Union City Men’s Baseball League to Begin Play

The love of baseball has prompted the start of a new league in Union City.

The Union City Men’s Baseball League has been formed and will begin playing games this month at Elam Stadium.

Union City High School graduate Evan Alexander told Thunderbolt News about the organization of the league.(AUDIO)

 

Alexander said the response from those wanting to play again has been impressive.(AUDIO)

 

Players each paid $55 to participate, with funds being used for insurance, baseballs, shirts and other needs.

Alexander said he hopes local baseball fans come out to see the games, and he hopes the league can continue to grow.
