All prisoners have been accounted for after a riot erupted at the Trousdale Turner Correctional Facility outside of Nashville on Monday.
WKRN reports inmates took over a control room in the prison, releasing about 100 others into the prison yard. Three prison guards were also taken hostage in the building during this time.
About 100 law enforcement officials from multiple agencies including the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
According to officials most inmates remained peaceful, but some did ignite fires and damaged security cameras. No inmates breached the outer perimeter of the prison.
Authorities were able to enter the prison and had all inmates contained within two hours. Multiple guards were taken to the hospital and three were treated for minor injuries.
