A new contract has been approved for the Director of Schools in Union City.
School board members voted unanimously Monday morning on a new contract for Director of Schools Wes Kennedy.
The employment contract stated Kennedy’s contract will now run from July 1st thru June 30th of 2029.
His annual salary was set at $135,000 a year, with a $7,000 performance bonus to be paid on August 1st.
The Director of Schools contract also provided a $950 monthly automobile allotment, and a ten day vacation.
Director Kennedy told Thunderbolt News he was proud to extend his work period with the school system.(AUDIO)
On July 1st, Kennedy will begin his ninth year as the Director of Schools in Union City.
