At the Martin City Board meeting this week, a new law was put in place to deter residents for trashing their property.
Martin Police Chief Philip Fuqua:
Beginning with a warning, then a $50 per day fine, the police have a process of getting the property cleaned up
Chief Fuqua says a violator has 10 days to clean up the property. If not cleaned up, police will move to a more aggressive manner to begin the clean up.
