The Weakley County Commission meeting Monday night had mixed reviews in whether or not to raise the tax rate 17.5 cents. Commission member David Hawks spoke with Thunderbolt broadcasting about his decision to “begrudgingly” vote yes.
During the meeting Mr. Hawks went into more detail on where Weakley county funds are going.
Mr. Hawks tells us the state could intervene if we don’t generate more revenue.
Commissioner Hawks goes on to explain his personal efforts in assisting the people of Martin during this tough time, through his giving to WeCare Ministries.
