The Newbern Police Department has made an arrest in connection with the June 10th, shooting incident directed at a Lake County Sheriff’s Office patrol unit.
41 year old Phillip Allen McGuire, of Dyersburg, was arrested for that incident as well as drive by shootings at the Dyersburg Fire Department and First Choice Farm and Lawn in Dyersburg.
McGuire is charged with six counts of felony reckless endangerment for shooting at the fire department, vandalism over $1,000 for damages. As well as charges for shooting two Kubota tractors.
He is currently being held at the Dyer County Law Enforcement Center and is awaiting an appearance in Newbern Municipal Court.
