Defendant Conspired to Claim Around $3.4M in Fraudulent Refunds

A Tennessee man pleaded guilty yesterday to conspiring to commit wire, mail fraud, and other charges, after claiming $3.4 million in tax refunds.

Ryan Glidewell conspired with others to file false tax returns with the Employee Retention Credit and paid Sick and Family Leave Credit.

He and co-conspirators created phony businesses, and filed numerous false tax returns for those businesses

Glidewell is set to be sentenced on November 12th and could be sentenced to up to 30 years in prison.
