A Dyersburg man was arrested Saturday following a multiple agency foot pursuit.

The Dyer County Sheriff’s Office said 21 year old Thomas Holder was taken into custody in Newbern, and now faces several serious charges by the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The incident began when Troopers reported Holder had fled the scene of a traffic stop on foot.

Officers with the Highway Patrol, Dyer County Sheriff’s Office, Newbern Police and other agencies searched fields on Washington Street and Monroe Street before making the capture.

Holder will appear for arraignment Tuesday in Dyer County General Session Court on charges that include felony evading arrest, aggravated assault with injury involving an officer, and felony reckless endangerment.
