A major announcement was made Wednesday concerning major emergency medical services in Obion County and the surrounding area.
Mayor Steve Carr made the announcement during a press conference at the County Mayor’s Office in Union City.(AUDIO)
Mayor Carr said the decision by Air Evac will enhance emergency medical assistance and create an economic impact in the area.(AUDIO)
While the project is still in the planning stages, the operation is expected to begin services from Everett-Stewart Regional Airport in 2026.
Also taking part in the press conference was Air Evac Lifeteam Senior Program Director Kent Martin, and Everett-Stewart Airport Manager Don Coady.
