UT Martin has been picked to finish second in the OVC/Big South Football Association this season.
The preseason vote by league head coaches gave Tennessee Tech 57 total votes, with the Skyhawks receiving 56 and Southeast Missouri State 53.
Tennessee Tech received five first place votes in the poll, with UT Martin and Southeast Missouri State each receiving two.
Also during the preseason poll of head coaches, Skyhawks cornerback JaMicheal McGoy Jr. was selected as the Defensive Player of the Year.
Coach Jason Simpson’s team looks to capture their fifth straight conference championship when they begin play on August 28th at Oklahoma State.
