Five students from UTM College of Business and Global Affairs became the third UTM team in eight years to finish first in the 11th national 2025 CSBS Community Bank Case Study Competition.
The annual competition is open to undergraduate students in all fields of study to gain valuable first-hand knowledge of the banking industry.
A total of 35 student teams representing 27 colleges and universities from across the U.S. entered the competition.
UT Martin’s team finished ahead of the University of Arkansas and Illinois State University.
UT Martins team members are accounting and finance majors;
Aaron Bartholomew of Parsons, Anna Batte of Bruceton, Blair James of Milan, Hayden Weber of Puryear, Makenzi Bouras of Bumpus Mills.
Each winning team member will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
UT Martin is the only university to repeat as winners of the competition.
