After guiding Murray State to the College Baseball World Series, head coach Dan Skirka has received an extension.

Following the first ever appearance by the Racers in the World Series, coach Skirka has a new contract keeping him at Murray State through the 2030 season.

After the fifth straight season of at least 30 wins, coach Skirka was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association National Coach of the Year, and Missouri Valley Coach of the Year.

This past season, the Racers won a school record 44 games, along with the Missouri Valley regular season and tournament championship.

Murray State then became national favorites by winning the Oxford, Mississippi Regional Championship and Durham, North Carolina Super Regional Championship.

The final Coaches Poll had Murray State ranked 8th in the nation with their (44-17) record.
