Union City police are investigating the attempt to steal a lawn mower from Mahindra, on West Reelfoot Avenue.
An official at Mahindra said the subjects attempted to steal a 61-inch zero-turn Bobcat Mower last Friday night.
The value of the mower was listed at $10,370.
Surveillance video showed the subjects being dropped off on Southlane Circle by someone driving a small SUV.
The individuals then walked to the lot and drove the lawn mower back to Southlane Circle, where they were unsuccessful in loading it into a box truck.
The mower was recovered, and police are now working to identify those responsible for the attempted theft.
