Attorney General Russell Coleman announced the filing of a lawsuit against the Chinese shopping platform, Temu.

According to WBKO, The lawsuit was filed on earlier in July in Woodford County Circuit Court, alleges that Temu is unlawfully collecting data, violating customers’ privacy, and counterfeiting some of Kentucky’s most iconic brands.

Counterfeited Brands include the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Buffalo Trace Distillery, and Churchill Downs.

Those behind the app have allegedly collected massive quantities of information about customers, without their knowledge or consent.

In addition the lawsuit also alleges that Temu is known for advertising items that look nothing like the items that arrive and faking customer reviews.
