xAI has begun installing computing infrastructure at its expanded data center property in Southwest Memphis.
The new facility on Tulane Road, dubbed “Colossus 2,” will incorporate a minimum of one million Graphics Processing Units once completed by 2026.
Last week, 110,000 GPUs were in the process of being installed.
Colossus 2 is expected to be powered within the next few weeks.
The Greater Memphis Chamber said in May that there were no plans to install gas turbines at the site.
