WSMV reports Gov. Bill Lee and Elon Musk’s The Boring Company have unveiled the Music City Loop project, with the hiring process expected to begin immediately.
The private transportation project will bring the company’s underground loop system to Music City, “at no cost to taxpayers.” The first segment of the loop system will have a ten mile phase and is expected to be ready as early as 2026.
The loop will be privately funded, connecting downtown and the Convention Center to the Nashville Airport with a transit time of approximately eight minutes.,
